Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
Last updated: 7 November 2026
In short
- Our calculators run in your browser. The salary and amounts you type are not sent to us.
- We don't ask you to sign up and don't collect your name, CNIC or bank details.
- We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. They set cookies. We don’t use advertising cookies.
- We never sell personal information.
What you enter in a calculator
All calculations happen on your own device. The figures you enter are not uploaded or stored by us.
To let you share a result, a calculator can add your figures to the page address (for example ?salary=150000). That address stays in your browser unless you share it. If you open or share a link that contains figures, the address is sent to our web server like any page request and may appear in our hosting logs (see below). Remove the part after the ? if you'd rather not include your figures.
Information collected automatically
When you visit, our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, receive standard technical information: your IP address, the page address, the date and time, your browser and device type, and the referring page. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems, and it is kept only for as long as those services need it.
Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, which pages they use, how they found the site and what kind of device they use. Google receives your IP address and device details to produce these reports; it shortens IP addresses and does not show them to us. We send it the page address without any figures you entered.
Microsoft Clarity shows us where people click and scroll, as heatmaps and anonymised recordings of visits, so we can fix confusing parts of a page. We mask the calculator forms and results, so the amounts you type are hidden from these recordings. If a page address contains figures (for example from a shared link), Clarity may receive that address.
Cookies
TaxCalculator.com.pk does not set its own cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from bots and abuse. It is not used for advertising or tracking.
Our analytics tools set these cookies to recognise a returning browser:
- Google Analytics:
_gaand_ga_…, kept for up to 2 years. - Microsoft Clarity:
_clck(up to 1 year) and_clsk(1 day), plus cookies Microsoft uses across its services.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings; every calculator still works without them. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
If you email us
If you contact us at [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to fix any problem you report, and we delete correspondence when it is no longer needed. Please don't send CNIC numbers, passwords or bank details.
Sharing and third parties
- Service providers: our hosting provider and Cloudflare process technical data on our behalf to run the site.
- Google: processes analytics data under the Google Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft: processes Clarity data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- WhatsApp share button: it opens WhatsApp with a message containing your result. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp unless you choose to share, and WhatsApp's own privacy policy then applies.
- Links to other websites: official and other sites we link to have their own privacy policies.
- Legal requests: we would disclose information only where the law requires it.
Your choices
You can use every calculator without giving us any personal information. You can ask us what information we hold about you from emails, or ask us to delete it, by writing to [email protected]. This site is not aimed at children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, for example by adding a new service, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
