Why your iPhone X PTA tax may differ
Your PSID can differ from this page for three reasons.
The value Customs uses
We use the Customs value for a new iPhone X. If your invoice is higher, Customs uses the higher value. Used phones are valued under a separate Customs ruling and can be lower.
The dollar rate
Customs converts the value at FBR's notified rate on the day. Each Rs 1 change in the rate changes the iPhone X tax by about Rs 80.
Your filer status
On CNIC, non-filers pay double income tax: Rs 970 more on the iPhone X. Passport registration has no income tax.
