About the 2026-27 card

How FBR names and publishes its rate cards.

See all years

Which year does the "tax year 2027" card cover?

FBR names its cards by tax year, which ends on 30 June. Tax year 2027 is the financial year 2026-27: 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. The rates on this page took effect on 1 July 2026 under the Finance Act 2026.

Why is there a non-filer column?

The Tenth Schedule of the Income Tax Ordinance sets higher rates for people not on the Active Taxpayer List, usually double the filer rate. Where FBR lists no non-filer rate, the same rate applies to everyone.

Is this the official card?

The figures are FBR's, taken from its published withholding tax rate card spreadsheets and regrouped by section with plain-English headings. For the original wording, download FBR's PDF from the sources link at the foot of the page.

When will the next card be published?

The Finance Act for the next budget usually passes in late June, and FBR issues the new card for tax year 2028 in July. We update this site when it does.
